Kuwait University is considered one of the pioneers of the cooperative movement in the State of Kuwait in the field of establishing mutual funds and working to create and enhance the spirit of social solidarity among its employees. The university administration blessed the establishment of this Social security Fundand provided it with all support and care, as it came into practical application on the date of 3/13/1972 by approving its basic system and accepted by a decision of the university council approving the basic system on 12/18/1971

Legal Entity

The Social Security Fund for Kuwait University Employees is a social fund formed through a public will that expresses professional categories working under the umbrella of Kuwait University. In the sense that the fund is an independent social entity that has a special system and has its own budget independent of the budget of Kuwait University and has its open bank accounts in its name. Also, all the fund’s annual budgets are presented to the Rector of the University and approved by his general assembly and the university administration after being audited by an accredited accounting office of international reference.

Goals

1- To enhance interrelation and collaboration within Kuwait university family.
2- Strengthening and developing colleagueship and brotherhood relations among different groups at the university.
3- To establish a sort of stability and tranquility for members and their families through collective sharing providing Members or beneficiaries with financial support in case one of cases necessitating support is ascertained and to avoid resorting to means that include afflicting the dignity of member or beneficiaries come him.
4- To perform financial and social services for members and their families.
5- To work for and contribute to some investment projects according to Islamic Sharia’a provisions in a way that shall contribute to support and develop SSF capital.
